Karin Dom Foundation invited all architects from all over the world who are willing to work on, and are interested in social projects, to participate in an international competition for a new Karin Dom building. This approach pushed us to join this competition. The competition area faces a closed inner courtyard with three sides of buildings and there a lot of trees in it, which need to be kept in mind when designing. So the idea of protecting these trees has come to the fore in the design approach. However some informations about this kind of building drives us to planning some places on the ground as this approach allows. The montessori center, and phsyotherapy placed on the ground level. We also designed hydrotherapy unit at there and connected it via seperate walkway with the main building as it recommended in the brief. The open space requirements of the building has been solved by a inner courtyard located on the ground. As the sun moves, various lights come in through the courtyard. It's also connected with the hydrotherapy unit so the sun reflects on the pool too. Other open space which is a playground are for children and a recreation area for the visitors located at the upper level.
